How can we help
At Life Choices Clinic, we offer testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Testing can be performed on the same urine sample that you provide for your pregnancy test, or we can provide this limited STI testing as a single service. If you test positive for one of these infections, we can offer referrals for treatment. At this time we only offer STD testing for females.
when should I get tested?
You need to get tested if:

you've recently had unprotected sex

you've had a change in partners

you have experienced itching or burning in your pelvic area

you have scheduled an abortion
You may need to get tested even if you have no symptoms or consistently use a condom. Sex always carries the risks of STIs and STDs, even oral and anal sex.
What are the most common STD/STI symptoms?
The most common sign of an STD is actually no symptoms at all. If you have had any form of unprotected sex, you need to get tested. Other signs and symptoms can include:

Clear, white, greenish, or yellowish vaginal discharge

Discharge from the penis

Strong vaginal odor

Itching or irritation inside the penis or vagina

Pain during sexual intercourse

What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Please bring your photo ID with you. You are also welcome to bring a partner, friend or parent with you to your appointment. (Minors are not required to have a parent or guardian present.) No insurance is required.
